The elections witnessed on March 28 and 29 will go down in the history of Nigeria as one of the biggest ever, because for the first time in a long while, Nigerians witnessed a peaceful elections in most parts of the nation.
However, the astonishing story wouldn’t stop there as the incumbent President, Goodluck Jonathan conceded defeat to president elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, hours before the final results were announced.
In a statement released today, April 1, General Buhari confirmed that President Goodluck Jonathan called him to congratulate him on his victory and following this demonstrated sportsmanship by the president, many political leaders have commended the president saying history would be kind to him for his overwhelming act.
