The #1 Reason why Women cheat – A must read for all Nigerian Men

If you are a man and you have a wife or you are in a serious relationship, then I want you to invest the next 5-10 minutes of your time to read this blog post right now. And here’s why…
unhappy couple

According to a study conducted by condom manufacturer Durex in which 29,000 people in 36 countries were interviewed, Nigerian Women were considered to be the most unfaithful in the world! As a Nigerian man, you might dismiss this survey study as untrue because we are a religious country with lots of morals. However, Durex may not be far from the truth actually. In a recent interview with The Nation Newspaper, a Lagos based DNA expert, Mr Ayodele Adeniyi gave a shocking statistics that…
“3 Out Of 10 Nigerian Men Are Not Biological Fathers Of Their Children”

It means that, a lot of Nigerian women are now having extra marital affairs and cheating on their partners and spouses.

Not only that, women are better at hiding their infidelity and they are more likely to lie about it and less likely to get caught. This should concern you, especially if you are married or in a strong relationship with your spouse right now. What this means is that it is possible for your woman to engage in infidelity and cheat on you if care is not taken due to some reasons.

So, What Could Make Your Woman Cheat On You Under Your Nose Without You Finding Out?
There are various reasons why a woman will cheat on her man such as…

1. Being in a distant relationship with their partner
2. Lack of Money to make the relationship better
3. Lack Of Excitement or emotional connection
4. Revenge on the mans infidelity
5. Boredom and peer pressure etc

But there is one other major #1 reason why women cheat, and even though it’s very obvious, most Nigerian men don’t know it. And strange enough, many women are very secretive and won’t tell you the REAL truth, because they don’t want to hurt you. So What Exactly Is The #1 Reason Why Women Cheat? The #1 unquestionable reason why so many women cheat on their partner is…. They Are Not Well Satisfied In Bed! To give you an understand of what I mean, I want you to read these comment left by a woman on Linda Ikeji’s Blog recently:

If you are unable to satisfy your woman, here’s the major causes of why you are unable to: Number 1: Very Weak Or Soft Erection If your erection suddenly get weak after few thrust, and you are unable to get erection strong enough to penetrate deep inside her.

Number 6: Have A Small Penis That Can’t Do The Job That is when your penis is very small and makes women run away from you and even the one that stays can’t “feel” you inside her at all. If you are a man and you are reading this article right now and you suffer from 1 or more of these problems I listed above, then today is the day you should do something about it. Confession of a frustrated Lagos housewife – “I did this since he could not sexually satisfy me”

  1. I had dinner with my lawyer friend recently and our discussion took us to how the rate of divorce is drastically increasing in Nigeria. The most shocking part of that discussion was when she told me the reason for many of these divorces.

  1.  She said in 3months, she had close to 9 divorce cases and 7 of them were because THEIR PARTNERS COULD NOT SATISFY THEM SEXUALLY and 1 case was because THEY BOTH WERE NOT COMPARTIBLE ENOUGH TO BEAR CHILDREN. She went on to add that, ‘do you know that many Nigerian women actually forgive their men for cheating on them and continue in the marriage, but almost No woman can survive sexual frustration for a long time?’. One of her clients who came to her for help and narrowly escaped divorce is a Lagos housewife by the name Chioma and here is her story in her own words. “We have been married for 7 years and I was nursing a pain which eventually turned my marriage sour. I and my husband had it going good for at the beginning. After a while, I just became more and more sad every time we had sex, but it got worse after we welcomed our first child. Well, as a well brought up and very moral woman, I tried to talk myself out of the feeling of frustration I had, cause I thought I had to bear it as a way of showing I loved my husband.” Well, cut the long story short…. Her husband, Dave, lost his job along the line, go into the tiring race of trying to get a new job. Since, that did not work out, he left it and started trying to start a business, and since Chioma was a full time housewife, they became dead broke and more frustrated. According to her, “To add up to all these mishap, Our sex life headed for the rocks. I had to look for ways to avoid sex as I did not want those hopeless feelings creeping up at me since his performance was below par. He always cited excuses for his below performance, from tiredness, stress and lots more. I wept bitterly because I was sex starved. Whenever Dave entered me, he spilled even before three minutes. We talked about it and one of the divorce restraint I had was the fact that I saw him doing his best to help the situation to no avail.” She continued saying “shortly after I came to you to pour out my heart concerning the situation, I visited my childhood friend, Ireti at her home. She got married some years before I did and since I could confide in her, I poured out my heart to her in tears. She revealed a secret to me which left me speechless. I appreciated her kind gesture and quickly rushed home”. You can read the Testimonials Of Other Men here! “Days later, one evening I decided to share the secret with Dave with detailed explanation. He applied the secret that evening and that same night, we made love and his performance improved a little because it sure was better than it had been in the past years.” surehealthbenefits.net “The wow thing was that by the fourth day, our sex life had greatly improved to the point of having several sex rounds. I was and am still short of words, there are times when I have to gaze at him for long to be sure I was in my husband’s arms. It feels now like he has a magic touch to his performance. Great part is the fact that his confidence has returned and he is now in control. Thanks to this amazing secret” “Thank God I did not give up on us when I was tempted to. Our sex life has been re-positioned and it’s a get relief as our marriage has indeed entered a new phase. If you want to have Dave’s Secret of Long Lasting Performances that God used to save my marriage, you can get it here. as this was exactly where I got it from”. I was so moved by Chioma’s story that I decided to write about it to help the multitudes of marriages today in the same situation of sexual dissatisfaction or childlessness. It just might besad woman the miracle you are praying for. Please share this with as many people as you know. Let’s keep divorce at its barest minimum in Nigeria. You need to hear from the expert that helped Chioma and Dave’s sex life naturally without any side effect, plus his own special story on how he became an expert in this field from surehealthbenefits.net!

Referees suspended by CAF for 'poor performance'-BBC SPORT

Two referees and one assistant referee have been suspended for three months by the Confederation of African Football after poor performances in 2018 World Cup qualifiers in November.
Ghanaian Joseph Lamptey incorrectly awarded South Africa a penalty in their 2-1 win over Senegal.
Kenyan referee Davies Omweno denied Libya what was a valid goal in their 1-0 defeat by Tunisia.
His assistant, Berhe O'Michael of Eritrea, had wrongly flagged offside.
Caf also warned the other assistant referee in the match, Rwanda's Theogene Ndagijimana.
Public shaming of the match officials is highly unusual in international football.
World governing body Fifa and its European counterpart Uefa, for example, maintain policies of never commenting publicly on the performances of referees and linesmen.
But Caf said in a statement that Lamptey was guilty of "poor performance" in his match and "awarded a wrong penalty for handball despite the fact that the ball never touched the hand of the player".
Lamptey previously served a six-month ban for wrongly awarding a goal during a Caf Champions League semi-final in 2010.
Omweno was also criticised for a "poor performance" which Cafsaid included "wrong positioning and movement, incorrect identification of fouls and failure to administer some disciplinary sanctions".
His assistant O'Michael was barred for "offside decisions including one denying a valid goal by Libya".
Ndagijimana was said by Caf to have "missed multiple basic offside decisions which denied teams promising attacks".

Fashola warns DISCOS against blackmailing FG

– Fashola has revealed that the government would not be blackmailed by DISCOS
– Speaking through his special adviser on communications he said only legitimate payment would be made
– Fashola also urged DISCOS to avoid creating unnecessary associations ,

The current minister of power, works and housing,
Babatunde Fashola has warned Electricity Distribution Companies (DISCOS) to stop blackmailing the federal government. Apparently the DISCOS were blackmailing the FG over outstanding debts allegedly owed them by Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs). Speaking through his special adviser on communications, Mr Hakeem Bello, on Tuesday, November 22, the minister made it very clear that the blackmail would not be tolerated. Thus he gave the warning at a meeting with power sector operators in the country.
This reaction was prompted by the advertorial placed by the Association of Electricity Distributing Companies (AEDC) on the debt owed DISCOS by MDAs. Fashola stated that only verified debts would be paid by the government and they would not succumb to blackmail through advertorials or any means.
Babatunde Fashola

He went on to advise the DISCOS to pursue payment of the debt in their separate capacities and not under the aegis of any association. While making it clear that the Nigerian constitution guaranteed freedom of association, it is important to note that the privatisation that resulted in the transfer of the distribution assets of power was not held between the federal government and any association.

Fashola also revealed that the DISCOS are yet to provide details of such debts for verification, saying: “Let me say without any equivocation that government will not succumb to the blackmail, at least not the Federal Government of Nigeria”. The former Lagos governor revealed that the government had provided an online platform where all DISCOS were required to submit details of their debts to that platform for government to verify it.

He said: “I think that advert should have told Nigerians how many DISCOS have complied with that instruction. That advert should also have told Nigerians how much was owed and to which DISCO. So while I respect the rights of association, indeed our constitution allows freedom of association. “But the Nigeria government will not pay its debts estimated to be about N100 Billion under the aegis of an association. That is not how to resolve debts, every DISCO knows how much power it supplied. “Debts are not calculated by estimates. It is either N100 billion or less than N100 billion but not an estimate,” Fashola concluded. He ended by promising to respond on behalf of government to provide the other side of information, any time the DISCOS went public with incomplete or wrong information. Meanwhile, a group of German renewable energy companies led by Nigus has agreed to build five solar power plants worth N183bn ($600m) in some North-Eastern states. It was revealed by the Nigerian Investment Promotion Council that the plant will generate 100 megawatts of electricity.

Serge Aurier: PSG defender refused entry to UK before Arsenal game

Paris St-Germain full-back Serge Aurier was stopped from entering the United Kingdom and will miss Wednesday's Champions League match against Arsenal.
The 23-year-old Ivory Coast international was given a two-month suspended prison sentence in September for assaulting a police officer.
PSG say UK authorities granted Aurier a visa in October but revoked it on 16 November, citing his conviction.
The French champions said the timing of the ruling showed "a lack of respect".
They accuse the Home Office of a "tardy response" and claim the final decision on the matter was not made until Tuesday afternoon.
Aurier was applying for a Tier 2 Sportsperson visa, which allows an individual to stay in a country for up to three years and typically takes three weeks to process.
But the Home Office said in a statement: "The immigration rules clearly state that non-EU nationals who have received a custodial sentence of less than 12 months within the last five years will be refused on criminality grounds."
There is no right to appeal against a visa refusal.
Aurier is appealing against his initial conviction, leading PSG to believe he is entitled to be presumed innocent.
"Paris St-Germain strongly regrets the presumption of innocence has not influenced Britain's decision," said the club in a statement.
"On several occasions, Uefa has also transmitted its total support of Paris St-Germain to the British authorities regarding this case, in order to preserve the integrity of its competitions."
Aurier, who has played 40 times for PSG since making his loan deal from Toulouse permanent last year, is accused of elbowing a police officer outside a Paris nightclub in May.
In addition to his suspended sentence, he was fined €600 (£521).
PSG manager Unai Emery said the club "did everything in its power" to have Aurier available for their penultimate game in Group A.
His side go into Wednesday's meeting at Emirates Stadium second in the standings, level on 10 points with leaders Arsenal with both clubs assured of a place in the knockout stages

Manchester United fans hid in Old Trafford toilet overnight BBC SPORT

  • Manchester United and Arsenal played a 1 -1 draw at Old Trafford on Saturday, Nov 19.
  • Two supporters of the red devils hid themselves in the stadium toilet a night before the game
  • The duo were apprehended in the morning before the game during a security sweep of the stadium and were handed over to police

Two Manchester United fans spent Friday night undetected in an Old Trafford toilet in an attempt to see Saturday's Premier League game against Arsenal.
The supporters had been on a stadium tour but managed to cut themselves off from the remainder of the party.
They were found on Saturday morning during a security sweep of the stadium before being handed over to police, who decided not to arrest the pair.
United say there was no risk to supporters attending the Arsenal game.
The pair had been searched and their belongings put through a metal detector before they went on the tour.
The incident comes six months after United's Premier League game against Bournemouth at Old Trafford had to be called off at short notice when a suspect package was found in a toilet in the corner of the stadium.
It turned out to be a fake explosive left behind after a training exercise earlier in the week.

$15M: Patience Jonathan Loses In court

JUSTICE Mohammed Idris of a Federal High Court Lagos, on Tuesday refused to restrain a fellow judge from taking steps in relation to the frozen $15.5 million allegedly belonging to Patience Jonathan.

Mr. Idris declined an application by counsel to the former first lady, Ifedayo Adedipe, who sought an order to restrain Justice Babs Kuewumi from taking further steps on the frozen sum.

Mr. Adedipe had urged the court to stop Justice Kuewumi from making any forfeiture orders, in respect of the said sum, which was frozen by the EFCC, until the determination of an interlocutory application on the subject.

It will be recalled that Mrs. Jonathan had instituted a fundamental rights suit against the EFCC, claiming the sum of $200 million as damages for inconveniences suffered.

In her suit, she had joined the EFCC, Skye Bank plc, and a former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, Warampo Dudafa, as respondents.

Also joined in the suit are four companies: Pluto Property Ltd, Seagate Property Development and Investment Company Ltd, Transocean company Ltd and Globus Integrated Service Ltd.

Mr. Dudafa was charged alongside the four companies before Justice Kuewumi, on 15 counts of money laundering.

Representatives of the four companies, which the EFCC said were used by Mr. Dudafa to launder the said money, had all pleaded guilty to the offences.

The said $15.5 million is the same sum which the former first lady claims belongs to her as sole signatory to the accounts of the companies.

When the case was called on Tuesday, Justice Idris acknowledged a letter from counsel representing Skye Bank, Lanre Ogunlesi, stating that he was indisposed and could not attend the court.

The judge added that since Mr. Ogunlesi has requested for a new date to enable him appear in court, the hearing of the application on notice could not proceed.

Meanwhile, before the court could adjourned the case, Mr. Adedipe had urged the judge to direct the EFCC not to tamper with the subject matter of the case pending the hearing of the interlocutory application.

In response, counsel to the EFCC, Rotimi Oyedepo, urged the court to dismiss the application on the grounds that the accounts which housed the money had been frozen.

He urged the court to dismiss the application with a “wave of hand”; adding that there was already an order of court convicting four defendants for warehousing proceeds of crime.

In a short ruling, Justice Idris held that he could not go into the merits or demerits of the interlocutory application, until it is moved.

He ordered accelerated hearing of the case and said that he could not make any order that will be prejudicial to the outcome of the main suit.

He consequently adjourned the case to December 7 for hearing of the main application.

In her suit, Mrs. Jonathan is urging the court to issue an order discharging the freezing order, and restraining the EFCC and its agent from further placing a freezing order on the said accounts.

Boko Haram terrorists launched an attack on an army base in the Lake Chad area on Monday that left six Cameroonian soldiers dead, according to a report by AFP.
“Boko Haram attacked a base of the Mixed Multinational Force on the island of Darak (on Lake Chad) at around 22:00 on Monday,” a military source revealed to AFP.

Reuters reported that suspected Boko Haram militants also launched two separate attacks in Cameroon, including a foiled suicide-bombing attempt, but neither claimed any casualties.
“Between yesterday and today there were three attacks: in Darak, in Diguina and a thwarted kamikaze strike in the Kolofata [camp],” a senior military source told Reuters. All three attacks were carried out in the Far North Region of Cameroon.
The attempted suicide bomber, the source added, was a woman who attempted to enter a military post near an internally displaced persons camp. After refusing to stop running, military officers neutralized her, preventing her from detonating her bomb.
In Diguina, insurgents burned houses, but no civilians were killed, according to the same source.
Cameroon is part of the multinational coalition fighting Boko Haram that includes Nigeria, Chad, Niger, and Benin. According to the International Crisis Group, more than 1500 people have been killed in Boko Haram attacks in Cameroon.

OndoDecides: Police Deploys 26,000 Officers For Guber Poll

Additionally, Mr. Idris said 3 aerial surveillance helicopters, 20 gunboats, 12 armored personnel carriers (APCs), and 300 patrol vehicles would be deployed for the Saturday governorship election.

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) announced on Tuesday that it would deploy 26,000 police officers to Ondo State to ensure peace and security ahead of the governorship election on Saturday.
Ibrahim Idris, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), made the disclosure on Tuesday at a stakeholders meeting with leaders of political parties organized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the State capital of Akure.
Mr. Idris said the personnel dispatched to Ondo State for the gubernatorial poll would display a high level of professionalism in their conduct and would ensure that polling units are adequately protected.
“Purely for this election, we are deploying an additional 26,000 police officers. These officers are going to enforce security at the polling units; each polling unit will have a minimum of five policemen in addition to other sister security agencies,” Mr. Idris said.
He added that the Ondo State border would be under tight security throughout the election.
A SaharaReporters correspondent gathered that the officers would come from the Police Mobile Force, the Counter-Terrorism Unit, the Anti-Bomb Squad, the Marine Police, and the Sniffer Dog Section, in addition to conventional NPF officers.
Additionally, Mr. Idris said 3 aerial surveillance helicopters, 20 gunboats, 12 armored personnel carriers (APCs), and 300 patrol vehicles would be deployed for the Saturday governorship election.
He added that the surveillance helicopters would be deployed to each of the three senatorial district of the State for effective policing.
The police boss maintained that the police would use dogs and horses for the protection of the State Headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
He said that the force, in collaboration with other sister security agencies, would be decisive on the restriction of movement of electorates on the day of the election.
Mr. Idris further explained that the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) in charge of Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Abuja, Habila Joshak, has been deployed to Ondo State to coordinate security operations ahead of the poll.
He assured that the security plan would guarantee a transparent and credible election, which will enable eligible voters to exercise their franchise freely during the Saturday governorship election.
The police boss who later addressed his officers at the State force headquarters on Igbatoro Road urged them not to compromise with unscrupulous politicians during the election.

Buhari Won't Be Alone In 2019, Presidency Says

Reacting to allegations by a former Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) member, Buba Galadima, that Mr. Buhari would be abandoned by the people in 2019, Mr. Shehu said Mr. Galadima's calculation and prediction is utterly confused and misleading.
President Muhammadu Buhari's Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, has dismissed suggestions that the masses will desert the president in 2019 as unfounded and utterly ridiculous. He asserted that ordinary Nigerians are the backbone of Mr. Buhari's mandate and the only reason he ran for the office was to protect them against the rapacious merchants of corruption, who have held Nigeria back for decades.
Reacting to allegations by a former Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) member, Buba Galadima, that Mr. Buhari would be abandoned by the people in 2019, Mr.  Shehu said Mr. Galadima's calculation and prediction is utterly confused and misleading.
He said the masses are solidly behind Mr. Buhari because he is not stealing their money and their future, that the president's enormous goodwill remains ever strong because the people are convinced the president is acting in their best interest, despite the temporary unintended consequences of reforms.
"President Muhammadu Buhari is far from isolation. He enjoys a very strategic relationship with ordinary Nigerians. This relationship is as solid a the proverbial rock. If Buba Galadima thinks that because he has no role and no job in this government that means president is isolated he is putting himself up to ridicule," Mr. Shehu said.
According to him, Mr. Galadima cannot speak for the masses as far as their steadfast loyalty to the president is concerned. While acknowledging that Mr. Galadima was entitled to advance his own political agenda, Mr. Garba said Mr. Galadima did not have the right to decide for ordinary voters.
Mr. Shehu recalled that Buba Galadima's disagreement with Mr. Buhari was based on principle. He explained that the president is committed to a level playing field and would not want anyone to link his name to injustice.
The presidential media aide said Mr. Galadima's disagreement with Mr. Buhari started in 2011 when a group within the party orchestrated an organizational mess by which the CPC embarked on the imposition and substitution of candidates for cash payments at the expense of those duly and democratically elected.
He said Muhammadu Buhari was embarrassed by the incidents and complaints about the imposition and substitution of candidates, adding that he, as a democrat, would not suppress the will of the people to please selfish interests. Consequently he dispensed with the service, such as they are, of Buba Galadima and ran and won the 2015 elections without them.

"Let Buba Galadima go to his constituency, stand for election and see what will happen to him," Mr. Shehu concluded

Supreme Court Orders Expeditious Hearing Of Eyitayo Jegede’s Petition At Court Of Appeal

A panel of five Supreme Court justices in Abuja today ordered expeditious hearing of the election case involving two factions of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) concerning the choice of a legitimate candidate for the governorship election in Ondo State.
The court made the decision after a counsel to Biyi Poroye, the Chairman of the Ali Modu Sheriff-led faction of the party, withdrew several motions asking for a stay of execution at the Court of Appeal which had planned to rule on the matter last week. Following the disclosure by SaharaReporters that Governor Olusegun Mimiko had penetrated the court, the panel suddenly halted its proceedings.
In suspending the judgment, which had been scheduled for last Friday, the Court of Appeal attributed its action to the Supreme Court having indicated to it that it would consider the appeal by Mr. Poroye, which contested the legitimacy of the Justice Ibrahim Salauwa-led Court of Appeal panel.
During today’s hearing, Poroye’s lawyer, Beloulisa Nwafor (SAN) withdrew all his petitions before the Supreme Court, leading the apex court to order an expeditious hearing of the case before the Court of Appeal.
With the decision, the Court of Appeal is expected to give a ruling that would significantly shake the gubernatorial election scheduled for Saturday, just days away, in Ondo state.
An Independent National Electoral Commission source told SaharaReporters that a postponement of the election was not in the cards.

Nigerians Mourn Cab Driver Fatally Shot In North Carolina

Members of the Nigerian community in Raleigh, North Carolina are mourning the shooting death on November 8, 2016 of Cyril Efobi, a long time resident of the city who worked as a taxicab driver.
On the day of his fatal shooting, Mr. Efobi closed early in the evening in order to go home and watch the US presidential election. After exchanging banters with some colleagues at the taxi company office, he packed up his laptop and stepped out of the office. A few minutes later, one of his colleagues sitting near a television heard gunshots outside the building. He panicked and quickly called the police. Within a few minutes, police vehicles arrived at the neighborhood located southeast of Raleigh. Once he saw the blue lights from police vehicles in the parking lot, Mr. Efobi’s colleague rushed to the door, but as he pushed it, Mr. Efobi’s felled body pushed back. Finally forcing the door outward, the colleague saw Mr. Efobi’s body in a heap, in a pool of his own blood. Raleigh police officers who responded to the emergency call pronounced Mr. Efobi dead at the scene from gunshot wounds. He was 56.
The surveillance camera caught the alleged gunman during and after the attack. Raleigh police are still investigating.
Mr. Efobi moved from Nigeria to Raleigh about 30 years ago to further his education. He graduated from Shaw University and made Raleigh his permanent home. Our correspondent could not ascertain whether the deceased, who lived alone, ever visited Nigeria again before his death. Friends said he had no wife or children and lived alone.
Two weeks after his murder, the Nigerian community held a candlelight vigil in front of the office where Mr. Efobi was gunned down. Members of the Nigerian community in Raleigh are making plans to raise funds to return Mr. Efobi’s remains to his natal community in Nigeria for burial.
Days after the gruesome murder, police released images of the suspected shooter from a surveillance camera. No arrests have been made.

Government Officials, Dignitaries Desert Emeka Offor At Father’s Burial

Emeka Offor, one of Nigeria’s most controversial government contractors, finally buried his father on Friday, November 18, a whole nine months after the 88-year-old former policeman died in his hometown of Oraifite in Ekwusigo Local Government Area in Anambra State. The elder passed on after a minor scuffle with a female family member.

The burial, which was marketed to be a gathering of the world’s leaders and celebrities in solidarity with the businessman, was marked by the conspicuous absence of all those advertised as dignitaries to grace the occasion.

Six days to the burial, Nigerian newspapers like Vanguard and Herald had reported that Donald Trump, the American president-elect, would join President Muhammadu Buhari and “other African leaders” to honor the Offors. The reports were based on a press statement by one Tony Obi, described as the vice chairman of the Pa Bennett Offor Burial Committee, headed by former Senate President Ken Nnamani.

Offor had earlier at the All Saints Anglican Church at Irefi, Oraifite, announced at a service presided over by The Reverend Canon C. C. Igwenazor, that Archbishop Justin Welby of Canterbury, who is the primate of the Anglican Church worldwide, would officiate at his father’s requiem service. Addressing the congregation made up of mostly villagers, Offor asked Igwenazor to get him a list of 13 bishops who would join Archbishop Welby at the service.

“We are not surprised that these bishops did not come because no arrangements whatsoever were made for their participation, but we are shocked that no Federal Government officials, including those from the Ministry of Petroleum Resources or the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation where our brother has been doing multi-billion dollar businesses for decades attended our papa’s funeral,” said a member of the family to our correspondent. Not even Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State bothered to be at the event. Obiano managed to send his wife the following day to commiserate with Offor’s mother.

Among the few political figures who attended the burial were Governor  Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, Speaker Yakubu Dogara of the House of Representatives, former national chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Victor Umeh, and chief executive of Capital Oil, Ifeanyi Uba.

Club Manager Sodomises Teenage Players In Lagos - Claims He Only Raped 3

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a football club manager, Frank Darlington, for allegedly sodomising three of his teenage players in the Agege area of the state.

According to Punch, it was gathered that Darlington, the manager of Soccer Warriors Football Academy, Pen Cinema, was arrested last Thursday by the Elere Police Division, after one of the victims reported him to the police.

It was learnt that the club manager, who hails from Imo State, allegedly took three footballers to his house on separate occasions after training sessions, and sodomised them.

PUNCH Metro gathered that Darlington’s wife and only daughter, a three-year-old, lived in Imo State, after the two got divorced in March 2016.

The police said the suspect allegedly penetrated the victims’ anuses, and would be charged for sodomy.

Speaking with PUNCH Metro, 49-year-old Darlington confessed to the crime, saying he started to rape his players in February 2015.He added that he committed the act to derive pleasure.

The suspect said he, however, stopped molesting his teenage players since July 2016, knowing the implication of his indulgence.

He said, “I have a female daughter, and she is three years old. I manage the Soccer Warriors Football Academy in the Pen Cinema, Agege area. It was in February 2015 that the rape started. I usually had sex with my boys just to play with them. It was romance. We had fun together. The last one I did was in July 2016, knowing that it could get me into trouble.
“I slept with only three of my footballers. There was one of my boys that had not been coming for training since last week. When I asked after him, I was told that he was sick. I did not know that he had reported to his mother and she had told the police.
“I do not know what moved me to be sleeping with them. I have been coaching for about 12 years. My wife stays in the South-East. She left me in March 2016. The sex with the boys was not for any ritual. I only derived fun from it.
“I knew it was a crime and that was why I stopped this act since July. I pledged not to go back into this.”

One of the victims, Kehinde (pseudonym), told our correspondent that Darlington threatened him that he (Kenny) would die if he told anyone about the sodomy.

The 18-year-old said he was forced to tell his mother when Darlington made it a habit.

He said, “He always had sex with me and with most of us. He started last year. The first time he approached me was after a training session. We were on the football pitch and he said my performance was bad and I should meet him at home for a discussion.
“When I went, he and two boys were at home. His wife did not stay with him. He sent the two boys on an errand and asked me to come into his room. He then instructed me to remove my trousers, and he molested me.
“He did not use any protection. He did not give me any money, but he threatened that I would die if I told anyone. I cannot count how many times he had done this to me. I told my mother when I was tired of his abuse. My mother reported him at the police station.”

Another victim told our correspondent that a large number of footballers at the academy had withdrawn because “he always slept with two or three of us every week.”

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, who paraded the club manager, said the suspect would be charged to court at the end of investigation.

“There is no place for criminals to hide in the state. We enjoin the residents of Lagos to report suspicious movements and persons to the police,” he added.

Social Media Our Greatest Nightmare- Lai Mohammed

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has described social media as a nightmare to image makers because of its disinformation through fake and distorted news.

The minister who stated this on Monday in Lagos at the opening of the 4th Commonwealth Public Relations Congress, noted that image makers in both public and private sectors were victims of the trend.

He, therefore, charged PR practitioners to devise innovative ways to ensure a better, charged-way communication network between their employer and the people.

The event organised by the Management School, London and the Business Education Examinations Council, has the theme “Strategic Management of Reputation Risk in an Interdependent World.’’

“Today, anyone with access to a smart phone can put out any information, whether accurate or not, that could go viral in minutes.

“No fact-checking, no accuracy, no fairness, no rules. They just spread whatever information catches their fancy, and they have their own public that believes them.” he said.

The minister however said that the trend is global, affecting international and local affairs including the recent U.S. elections.

“To understand the seriousness of this, there is an on-going debate in the U.S. over the role that disinformation played in the recent presidential election.

“Some even accused the social networking site, Facebook, of helping to swing the election in favour of Mr. Donald Trump, through the fake and distorted news spread by websites belonging to those who call themselves Alt-Right, or Alternative Right.

“Of course Facebook has denied that. But then Facebook and Google have taken concrete action to check this by seeking to cut off the live wire to these fake news websites,” he said.

According to published reports, Google said it will prevent websites that misrepresent content from using its advertising network, while Facebook said its ban on deceptive and misleading content also applies to fake news.

The minister said, locally, the trend has also made the job of government image makers so daunting that it is denying them of sleep.

“Government image makers now sleep with one eye opened, that’s if we sleep at all, because while we are sleeping, the purveyors of distorted and fake news are busy cooking their stuff.

“I cannot count the number of times that I have been removed from the Information and Culture portfolio on the social media in the past year, or that ministers have swapped portfolios,’’ he said.

The minister seized the opportunity to refute the fake report that President Buhari gave $500 million to Hilary Clinton during the U.S. Electioneering Campaign.

“Even when the Presidency has denied this outrageous concoction, the so-called analysts and experts have continued to comment on it as if it is true,” he said.

In tackling the challenge, the minister said that in addition to radio, television, newspapers and the new media, his ministry revived an age-long practice of Town Hall Meeting to engage people directly and get their feedback on topical issues.

Mike Okereke, a public relations practitioners in a welcome address,
said the summit afforded the them (PR practitioners from the Commonwealth) opportunity to exchange ideas on best practices.

He urged participants to adopt positive attitude in the
