APC Hosts Special Women Summit In Kaduna

The All Progressives Congress (APC)’s Kaduna state campaign council is hosting a special women’s summit on April 8, 2015.
According to This Day, the theme of the summit, which will take place at Arewa House, is “the Role of Women in Elections”. Women from all sections of the Kaduna society, including representatives of professional women’s groups, women in business, rural women and market women’s associations will be in attendance.
Ruth Alkali, the director of the APC’s Women’s Mobilisation in the state, said that two papers will be presented at the summit. The first paper will be on the “Role of Women in Determining the Outcome of an Election” and the second one is on the “Role of Women as Peacemakers and as Stabilising Force in the Aftermath of Elections”.
Mallam Nasir El Rufa’I, the APC governorship candidate in Kaduna state, will be the main speaker and will also participate in an interactive session with participants at the conference.
According to Alkali, it will “provide an opportunity for El-Rufa’i to hear directly from women whose role in nation building he considers critical”.
The conference begins at 9am and will last till 4pm.
On March 21, 2015, the APC organized the National Youth SummitThe event titled “March 28th: Change is Here” was held at the Sheraton Hotel in Abuja.
