No doubt, relationships and marriages are tough and complicated sometimes, this we all know. While there could be no one single and encompassing way to assess every relationship due to our diversities as humans, there are many ways to know if you are with the wrong partner or the right one.
Most times, situations in the course of dating someone pop up from time to time which may give some green light or indications that you could either be in a wrong relationship or with the right person, but sadly to say, most times we fail to ignore these indications.
Whenever you are trying to check if someone is good for you or not, never let your selfishness and ego judge your decision.
If or when you come to the realization that you are not in the right relationship, you do not need anyone to tell you, that’s the last thing you need because only you can figure that out. Your intuition knows for sure exactly what is right for you even when you try to disagree or fight with it for being right.
I remember vividly when one pastor while delivering his Sunday message had said that ‘’in everything you do or venture into, honesty must come play’’. This include in your business that provides your daily meal for your family and in your relationship with your partner.
In this ar[url][/http://brendascouch.com/things-that-kill-any-relationship-quickly/] , I’d written where a marriage of almost 35 years came to an end just because of display of dishonesty from the part of the husband and father.
There is nothing as frustrating as coming to know you have been dating or had gotten married to the wrong person. Leaving such a relationship while dating could be better than if already married, the pain is usually ‘’out of this world’’ during such moment.
I have read many times here in Nigeria where even after a lady discovers she’d had been in the wrong relationship or marriage all this while, she usually wouldn’t want to leave that union blaming it on the already produced kids. To me, I find this absolutely so ridiculous on the part of the woman- why manage an already bad marriage?
Mistakes are common in the lives of humans and one made in choosing a partner is one of the most painful and terrible ones. Thus, if you are in a relationship or marriage you feel, think or have come to the realization that it’s not the right one, you probably shouldn’t try so hard to make it “work”. Sometimes the right thing to do is to pull the plug and simply walk away.
I know it sounds so easy to spew out from the pen’s mouth, but you could be doing yourself a whole lot of good. Truth is, no relationship is worth sacrificing your happiness for, none!
Many times people tend to blame their partners for being the problem or the wrong one in the relationship forgetting to take some blames or even dare to self-examine themselves to know if they are actually the right person for their partners.
What I am trying to explain here is that, sometimes while you sit down thinking your partner could be the wrong one for you, don’t be shocked that you could as well be the wrong person for him or her. It’s a two way thing analyses.
Thus, while there are visible signs you’re in the right relationship and partner, there are also signs you’re with wrong the one.
Ways to know if you are with the wrong partner or soul mate.
When your partner has no listening ears during communication.
Communication between partners is one ingredient that gives or adds colour to any relationship. It is the main driving force in any relationship. While the absence of it could be a problem, the presence of it could also be the solution to solving a whole lot of issues.
A relationship with low communication is a dwindling relationship waiting to pack up.
Also, in the process of communication and one partner notices that the other lacks listening ears during conversation or always the one doing most of the talking, such traits may get the other partner infuriated and ‘’thinking’’.
When you think the $.e.x is too good and you are afraid you may not get such from another.
While listening to a radio talk show one night about 11 pm, a lady had written to the OAP/presenter of the program requesting for advice on what to do about her relationship. She was tired of it and was so confused or let me say to pull the plug due to the good $.e.x she receives from her boyfriend of 3 years.
From this lady’s point of view, I concluded that she is a $exually active person who probably had been in other relationships in which the $.e.x was not up to her standard and her current boyfriend had been very good in that department, hence the confusion and fear of not meeting someone as good as her boyfriend has consumed her person.
But like what some people would always say, ‘’where one road ends, that’s where another begins’’.
There is always better $.e.x out there and where or when you think you’ve seen it all, there are a million and one people out there with better skills.
That is the best explanation for people with this problem of fear.
When you doubt yourself of what you are doing in the relationship.
While this may sound funny or strange, many people especially women are in relationships where they keep doubting themselves if they are supposed to be in it or not. If what you want in a relationship is not what is reasonable or not what is generally acceptable, then give it up.
Anyone who is not convinced about the relationship he or she is into, definitely it’s a sign you are in the wrong relationship, with the wrong person or probably in a relationship at the wrong time.
You are with the wrong person who still thinks about the ex.
Some people find it extremely difficult to move on after their last relationship. They make it worse for themselves and their new partners when they constantly think of their ex. Truth is, they’re not over their ex, and they fail to see that.
If someone is not over with the last person they were with, you’d find them always referring to their ex in discussions that doesn’t relate to them. They are quick to bring them up. This is sickening!
When you are with this kind of person, the sad truth of the matter is most likely that you are just a rebound for such person. The right thing to do is simply walking away from that relationship.
You do not deserve to be a rebound to anyone, never!
When your partner’s phone is always locked with a password which you don’t know
Partners whose phones are always locked with a password surely have something they could be hiding from their partners. Also, those whose phone passwords are frequently changed could be up to something.
If you are dating such a person, there is a greater percentage your partner is cheating. This is one good sign to know if you are in a relationship with the wrong partner or someone who is already cheating. A clear conscience has nothing to hide

What Girls Will Tell Their Boyfriend When They Caught Them Cheating
No excuse can be made for cheating. It”s NOT beyond anyone’s control. It’s NOT a mistake. It is a personal choice. Saying it happened because something was missing, unfulfilled or anything else is a cop out. PERIOD !
When you talk about cheating in relationships, many people dwell in the stereotypical belief that cheating is only peculiar to men NOT women. This is a lie from the pit of hell. In case you don’t know, ladies also cheat as men do just that they are very careful and smart about it since they know they are in a society where ladies are castigated, humiliated and ridiculed for cheating.
Enough of my prologue. Lemme discuss the excuses given by ladies to justify cheating as a rightful act.
1. Because Your Joystick is so Small
Any dude who thinks the size of a joystick is not a prerequisite or a thing of consideration before a lady dates/marries a man, is seriously sleeping on a moving Bajaj okada. Many at times, I even get scared that my own girlfriend might also be cheating on me because of the nature of my joystick. When these ladies do not derive expected intimate satisfaction from their boyfriends with a tooth-pick like joystick, they will cheat and by the time they are caught, they will say it’s because the dude’s joystick is nothing to write home about.
2. Because You are Very Lazy in Bed
Sometime I just laugh when ladies cheat and deem their promiscuous act right, saying their boyfriends’ laziness in bed actually led them to seek skillful guys who can do it better. The truth of the matter is that many of our ladies like s*x as much as men do, but you will always see them pretending and hypocritical about it. Have you ever wondered why your girlfriend is nagging unnecessarily without a cause? It might just be because you are fond of climaxing barely two minutes after.
3. It was the work of the Devil
We all know that Nigeria is a country where people don’t take responsibility of their action or misfortunes, rather, they blame it on the devil who doesn’t even know their house address or Matric No. When ladies are caught cheating, they will lie against the devil.
4. I Didn’t Know what came over Me
This reminds me when my erstwhile friend caught his girlfriend cheating red-handed, she started crying profusely saying she did not know what got into her to have opened her legs for her gate man.
5. Because You are very Stingy
All the ladies I have dated in my life are always complaining that I should be given a PhD for stinginess. It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for me to give my girlfriend N100. One even told me that I should not be disappointed if I ever caught her cheating cos she could no longer cope dating a stingy dude who has the component Of Gehazi in the Bible.
6. He Molested/ Forced Me
I don’t need to explain this. We all know that an average Nigerian lady is quick to bail herself out with rape allegation the moment she’s caught cheating. Some of them will seduce you and coerce you into s*x and by the time they are caught they will lie that they were molested.
7. Because You are also Cheating on Me
They say that two wrongs don’t make a right; and I am of the opinion that the fact that your boyfriend is cheating or unfaithful to you does not mean that you should also pay him back in his own coin. Since some of them have the component of infidelity in their blood, they quickly utilize that opportunity to also cheat.
8. Because You’re not Financially Capable to Provide My Needs
When I check the amount of money some ladies spend on their hair, manicure and pedicure, it’s even more than my house rent, school fee and project fee inclusive. However, when these ladies are dating men that lack have good financial standing, they will definitely seek other species of suitable chairmen that will provide their basic needs, and by the time they are caught cheating they will say that a relationship without finance leads to cheating.
9. Because I was under the Influence of Alcohol
I just shake my head in disdain when ladies consciously bleep another dude but lie that the guy took advantage of them since they were under the influence of alcohol; therefore, they couldn’t resist him.
10. Because I can’t Keep all my eggs in a Basket
I don’t know when men became eggs that should not be put in a basket. Some ladies are in relationships yet they flirt a lot. You will hear them saying they can’t date a keep just a man because they want to be on the safe side.

HELP! Save Me From This Olosho Babe O!
Please I have a number of pressing issues bothering me. I'm 29, deeply introverted & maybe because of that I'm not able to have real friends I can trust. I do get a little paranoid & highly critical & distrusting of people most times cos looking back to my youth people only come to me because of the little money or possessions I have. I get this feeling that they're always looking to take advantage of me & I get extremely cautious. I've also never really been in an intimate relationship probably cos my view about women, love & marriage is completely distorted.
Recently I met this runs babe in my area & I've been meeting with her. The last time I saw her she was all smiles, kissed me for the first time & blurted out "I love you". Now, I wasn't so brilliant in school, neither am I also socially intelligent but I have this intuitive ability to detect straight BS when I see it in people. I know she doesn't mean that & only wants my money. My question is what's the smart way to end this "thing" with this girl? cos she mentioned she had a BF in Port/H (I believe that anyway) & she'll only kiss someone who's a BF. Doesn't the kiss mean she wants me to be her BF even if only in the interim? Also what if I only want her as a fucck buddy, how do I tell her?
Most importantly, I'm at a place where I don't see people as people anymore. I don't like people, I don't trust em. I'm pretty much a loner & cool with it. If people don't want to rock with me for whatever reason then fucck em!

The Day I Almost Died After Checking My Girlfriend's Phone
After my crazy Prostitute experience and post, a friend and a reader of my blog decided to share his crazy story with me! Lalasticlala, please help review in case it is front page worthy.
Mind you, this is a true life story!
Are you with me? Sit tight!
Back in the days, I used to ask myself. Why do I always feel this evil urge to snoop on my partner’s phone? Well, this story I am about to share will tell you why it is never ever good to want to check your partner’s phone and how what I saw almost gave me a heart attack.
The reasons for me wanting to spy on my partner are not far-fetched. They are the backdrop of these two probing questions.
1. Why was she always laughing heartily when chatting?
2. Why was she uncomfortable when I tried to touch her phone?
I learnt my lesson the bitter way during my NYSC days and trust me I would never try it again.
I was posted to a school in a village somewhere in the Southwest as a teacher, and I decided to settle in after trying countless times to redeploy to PortHarcourt to no avail.
On my way to report at my place of primary assignment (PPA) as ‘they’ call it, I met two other female Corp members in the bus headed same way.
Ada and Cynthia (not real names) were very beautiful girls, but based on my ‘convo’ with the two of them, Ada seemed more exposed and mature than Cynthia.
I therefore resorted to choosing Cynthia as my target for NYSC relationship since she appeared the easier ‘catch’ based on my analysis. After all, NYSC is National year of Sex and Cohabitation.
After settling down in Corpers’ lodge provided by the school, I tried my best to get close to Cynthia but she always seemed not to be interested in me. I got my lucky break a month later when both Cynthia and Ada had a serious misunderstanding.
We became close and I told her my intentions.
Cynthia ‘claimed’ to be a church worker/evangelist in nearby Lagos and continued with her church activities in school and the village. I once saw Cynthia counselling female students on premarital sex and keeping boyfriends at such age.
Cynthia refused my sexual advances due to her ‘seeming’ religious beliefs, although she was not a virgin. She claimed to be born again and in my mind I was like
E be like say I don find wife oh!
Cynthia would tell me stories about the numerous guys toasting and disturbing her and the fool that I was, we would laugh over it, not knowing ‘she and I were both laughing at my foolishness’
As Konji was taking a hold of me, I began to look for alternatives, but the fear of Cynthia made most of my targets say No.
Thinking to myself, I would say:
Nawa o, babe dey help chop my 19,800 allawi plus 25000 my uncle sends me and yet no show.
Cynthia would travel down to Lagos every two weeks for church activities, and share me stories of the crusade service and I would say to myself,
This geh really loves me sha, well, I love her too.
Cynthia usually makes use of my Laptop to chat on Facebook. There was this particular occasion when one of her so called toasters once sent her a nude pic, and she screamed to me;
‘Boo, can you see this arrant nonsense’?
Such a wonderful and faithful girlfriend! I would say!
Our corper love wantintin continued until one Friday, I was alone and bored in the lodge, just staring at the ceiling doing nothing.
Cynthia had gone to Lagos as usual for her crusades and other corp members had gone for celebration at a nearby village. I brought out my laptop, connected my modem and began to surf the internet.
After surfing for about an hour, I decided to check Facebook.
As I opened the Facebook page, Cynthia’s ID stared at me in the face.
I remembered it was her account that was last logged in. At that moment, the evil thought of checking her Facebook chats occurred to me.
You know, when you use another person’s device to log into your Facebook account, you will untick the remember me text box so that no one will be able to check your account when you are gone.
I was in this process trying to figure out what her password would be when I remembered that earlier that week I had helped Cynthia register for a job advert using a username and password she wrote at the back of my Jotter.
I quickly searched for that jotter, found it and tried the same password and Hooray! I was in her account.
I began to check her chats with her so called toasters/disturbers.
In her chat with Felix (not real name), he was making some crazy sexual requests (that blew my brains out), which my born again Cynthia obliged.
They chatted about their last escapade how he enjoyed her so much.
You need to see as drops upon drops of sweat cascaded down my face as if I just finished having my bath without drying the water off my body!
Wallahi, that water could fill a glass cup of drink. It was crazy, I was shocked!
So the so called church programs she went for was all a lie, I opened my mouth in disbelief.
I found two other chats with some other guys she was sleeping with.
Have you ever felt heartbroken before? The beats of your heart? Like you wanted to floor to open and swallow you up?
Mine was more. I was perspiring, heavy breaths oh! It wasn’t a small something.
I could not eat for 2 days till I fell ill. I practically kicked myself so hard. I was so naive and stupid.
I felt like I wanted to die!
I learnt my lesson that day, Never ever snoop on your partner because what you may find can lead to heart attack.
Biko, if you know you cannot deal with the worst! Don’t ever snoop on your partner’s phone oh!
You want to know what I did to Cynthia when she returned?
Hehe! Funny readers, I’d leave that for another day! Abeg! I cannot share it here, maybe when you come check Deedeesblog, I can decide to share! LOL!
I am very sure a lot of you guys can relate to this! Have you ever snooped on your partner’s chats before? Did you see the unbelievable, as for me, na only God go allow me trust woman again as I almost had a heart attack.

The Court of Appeal in Abuja on Thursday sacked a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly representing Opobo/Nkoro Constituency, Mr. Andrew Miller of the All Progressives Congress, who was declared winner of the March 19, 2016 re-run in the state.
In a unanimous judgment delivered by the Justice Ibrahim Saulawa-led panel, the appeal court nullified the Certificate of Return issued to Miller by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The panel ordered INEC to issue fresh one to the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate in the re-run, Mr. Diri Adonye.
The appeal panel, which described the March 19, 2016 election as “massively rigged” in favour of the APC and Miller, made the consequential orders after setting aside the judgment of the Rivers State Election Petition Tribunal which earlier affirmed the election of the APC and its candidate.
The PDP and its candidate had filed their petition before the tribunal contending that the APC’s candidate declared as the winner of the poll did not receive the highest lawful votes.
The petitioners contended that the figures were inflated in favour of the APC and its candidate.
But the tribunal in its judgment had dismissed the petition on the grounds that the petitioners failed to prove the alleged tampering with the authentic election results and who actually altered with the results.
The PDP and Adonye further appealed to the Court of Appeal asking for an order setting aside the judgment of the tribunal.
In the lead judgment read by Justice George Mbaba on Thursday, the Court of Appeal said the election was “massively rigged” with figures fraudulently altered across the 11 wards in the Opobo/Nkoro Constituency of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
Justice Mbaba held that results of the election were altered with figures fraudulently inflated and allocated to the APC in the various wards.

Eyitayo Jegede Congratulates Rotimi Akeredolu on Winning Ondo Polls
Barrister Eyitayo Jegede, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in last week’s Ondo State elections, has congratulated Barrister Rotimi Akeredolu of All Progressives Congress (APC) on winning the electoral exercise.
He did this through a letter of appreciation he released to the public in the last one hour.
In the letter, Jegede narrated the troubles he went through before he could contest the election, particularly the antics of the Jimoh Ibrahim camp.
He thanked members of the public for voting for him, as well as members of PDP and his campaign team, including John Ola Mafo, his running mate at the polls.
He however expressed disappointment that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) did not postpone the election, as such a move, according to him, would have promoted fair play and transparency in the entire process.
He was however proud that PDP was able to corner a significant number of votes. despite the problems the party faced at the law courts.
Here is the letter of appreciation below.

Man Caught With Heroin At Airport Four Days After Wedding
A commercial tricyclist in Owerri, the Imo State capital, and an Abuja-based trader have been caught by National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) officials at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos with 6.390kg of substances that tested positive for heroin.
One of them, Cajetan Chinedu Egwin, was arrested on arrival from Kigali, Rwanda; the other, King Sunday, was nabbed on arrival from Nairobi, Kenya.
The drug with an estimated street value of N575 million was hidden in their luggage.
Egwin, 32, was caught with 3.900kg of heroin and Sunday, 38, was found with 2.490kg of heroin
NDLEA Lagos Airport Commander Ahmadu Garba said: “Egwin arrived from Kigali on a Rwanda Airline flight while Sunday imported the drug found on him from Nairobi during inward screening of passengers on an Ethiopian Airline flight. The suspects are being investigated.
“Preliminary investigation by the agency, however, indicated that drug trafficking cartels are gradually changing their mode of operation by turning to African countries in sourcing narcotic drugs like heroin. The suspects were also recruited for a fee to import the drugs into the country. Egwin who is not married said he needed money to repair his commercial tricycle while Sunday who left his wife after four days of marriage under the guise of a business trip said that he needed money for his honeymoon and business.”
Egwin, a commercial tricycle rider in Owerri told investigators that he needed money to change his tricycle.
“The engine of my tricycle which is my only source of livelihood is bad. While I was looking for money to fix it, I was introduced to the man that promised to pay me N400,000 on the condition that I will bring his drug from Kigali. I accepted the offer because nobody was willing to help me. Apart from the repairs, my rent is due and my landlord has been asking for his money,” he said.
Sunday said he made a mistake in dabbling to drug traffic stating: “I erroneously took the decision to smuggle drugs barely four days after my marriage. I was in need of money for my honeymoon and also for my business but I should not have involved myself in drug trafficking. My thinking was that I could smuggle the drug from Nairobi in two days without my wife knowing that I travelled out of the country. All my life, I have been upright in my transactions but this is a huge mistake and I regret my action.”

NDLEA’s Chairman/Chief Executive Col Muhammad Abdallah (rtd) said drug traffickers were turning to African countries to smuggle heroin produced in Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Thailand and other far away countries.
”The Agency successfully foiled their plan with the arrest and seizure of the drugs. Drug cartels thought it would be easy to smuggle the drugs into the country since heroin is not produced in Africa but I am happy that we are thinking far ahead of them,” he said.

Robbers Break Into Warehouse Using Acid, Steal N19m Worth Of Goods
Luck has run out on four members of a robbery gang who allegedly break shops in the Alaba International Market, Lagos State.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the modus operandi of the syndicate was to destroy padlocks of their target shops by pouring acid on them.
It was gathered that the suspects –Tochukwu Akorisa, Ndubuise Egwuatuonwu, Ifeanyi Eze and Aboi Rufus – had attacked a warehouse in the market, stealing 427 cartons of electric bulbs valued at N19.1m.
The shop owner was said to have reported the incident to the police, leading to the arrest of one Tona Nwenyi, who allegedly bought some of the goods from the suspects.
Our correspondent learnt that Nwenyi led the detectives attached to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police X-Squad to Akorisa, who reportedly coordinated the robbery operation.
A detective told PUNCH Metro that Nwenyi was caught at the point of selling the stolen goods.
“Akorisa subsequently led us to his accomplices. Two other persons, Tony Eme and Ejike Chinwoba, who bought the bulbs from the gang, had been arrested.
“We have recovered about 100 cartons out of the 427 cartons they made away with, which is worth N19.1m,” the source said.
Twenty-six-year-old Akorisa, confessed to the act, adding that he intended to use the proceeds of the robbery to give his ailing mother a medical attention.
He said, “I load goods in the market. But the money I earned was not enough for me to take care of my sick mother. I led the operation. We used acid to break the padlock of the warehouse. We went around 9.30pm on that day.”
Egwuatuonwu explained that it was Akorisa, who facilitated the sales of the loot, adding that he was promised N250,000 from the deal.
“But I have not got anything before the police arrested me,” he added.
Rufus said, “This is my first time. My house rent has expired and I had been living with my friends. I want to rent an apartment. I was thinking of how to get money when Tochukwu (Akorisa) suggested that we rob the warehouse. We stole only 150 cartons of bulbs.”
One of the receivers, Nwenyi, said he wanted to return the bulbs to Akorisa, having discovered they were stolen, when he was arrested.
Chinwomba said, “I bought 30 cartons from Tochukwu. I have paid for 15 cartons. I didn’t know the goods were stolen.”
Eme said he bought 15 cartons of the bulbs.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, said the command was on the trail of other fleeing suspects.
She said, “Four of the suspects, who stole the goods, and three of the receivers were arrested based on intelligence report. Effort is on to apprehend the fleeing ones and to recover the remaining stolen goods.”

Nigeria Audits 33 Companies, Uncovers N450b Unremitted Revenue
The Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeousun, made the announcement on Thursday in Abuja at a news conference.
She said that an audit had been carried out on the agencies in compliance with the Fiscal Responsibility Act (FRA), 2007.
The minister said that a recovery committee headed by the Accountant General of the Federation had been set up to recover the money from the agencies.
Mrs. Adeosun noted, however, that some of the agencies had started returning various sums, saying that N640 million had been received from the Nigeria Shippers Council.
“The total independent revenue generated between January and October, 2016 was N272.03 billion but there is a projected increase to N811.03 billion as we recover amounts owed.’’
She said the audit revealed that there was a lot of non-remittances and under-remittances of operating surpluses and that some agencies were operating without an approved budget.
The minister added that there was overstating of budget and spending above budgeted amount, failure to reconcile accounts and existence of irreconcilable differences.
“The audit also showed that there was under-reporting of revenues, failure to submit audited financial statements, payroll fraud and exaggeration of payroll costs, over-payment of staff salaries and abuse of personnel grants,” she said.
The minister said while there was unapproved monetisation of medical and other allowances, there was also non-compliance with the PPA and failure to convert to IPSAS accounting.
IPSAS stands for International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).
According to her, some of the agencies affected are the Nigerian Communications Commission, Nigerian Ports Authority and Corporate Affairs Commission.
Others are the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, Nigerian Export-Import Bank, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria and National Open University of Nigeria.
Also affected are the Nigerian Railway Corporation, West African Examination Council, Joint Administrations and Matriculation Board and the National Hospital, Abuja among others.
Mrs. Adeosun said that some of the audit reports had been sent to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
“The financial regulations are very clear, where audit reports have indicted some of the officers, some of these audit reports are going to the EFCC.
“Some of the audit findings were so serious that the decision was taken that some of those particular reports must go to the EFCC.
“Remember that we are not a prosecuting agency, ours is to investigate and then we hand it over to the relevant agencies,” she said.
The minister said that the agencies that defaulted had been asked to come up with their repayment proposals to see how they could be made to repay the money.
“We know that in some cases that money would have already been spent so they will now give us a proposal of how they are going to repay but the money has to be paid.
“We are also looking at their Treasury Single Account (TSA) to understand how much money they actually have because in some cases these surpluses are in their accounts.
“Our plan is not to grind to a halt the activities of any agency but to institute fiscal discipline in all the agencies,’’ the minister stated.
Mrs. Adeosun also said that a circular was issued on November 22, requesting submission of estimates of revenues and expenses for the next three financial years.
Other documents that were requested are the annual budget which must be IPSAS compliant and projected operating surpluses for review and approval.
According to her, a review team has also been set up to evaluate submitted estimates before budget submission to the National Assembly.
She said that failure to comply with the provision of the FRA to review and approve their budgets as advised would be restricted to payment of salaries only until the budget was regularised.
“We have the National Assembly’s support that if an agency does not have its budget approved; it really has no business spending.
“It is wrong for an agency to operate without a budget. It is public money and that means that the agency can do literally anything it wants and that is wrong.
“It is for those agencies who know that they do not want to be in the situation where they can only pay salaries to do the right thing, everybody knows the rule.’’
She said further that a circular on the inclusion of 92 additional corporations, agencies and government owned companies to the schedule of the Act had also been issued.
According to the minister, the exercise is an ongoing process and all agencies will eventually be audited. (NAN)

Ondo Guber: Sheriff Moves Against Mimiko, Deputy, Jegede, Others Over Pdp’s Loss
The Ali Modu-Sherif faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State has summoned Governor Olusegun Mimiko, his deputy, Alhaji Azeez Oluboyo and the governorship candidate in the November 26 election, Mr. Eyitayo Jegede (SAN), to appear before its disciplinary committee.
Governor Mimiko was alleged to have contravened the constitution of the party through his actions during last Saturday’s poll.
Factional Chairman, Mr. Poroye Biyi, in a statement issued by the Director of Publicity, Mr. Yemi Akintomide, said the committee will investigate all activities of Mimiko and others.
He said, “the seven-man committee which is headed by Senator Omololu Meroyi, will investigate all actions of individuals or group of persons that were in breach of the party’s constitution and its fundamental objectives which led to the failure of the party in the last governorship election.
The party had since before last Saturday been enmeshed in serious internal crisis, a development which caused confusion on its choice of candidate for the election.
The Ahmed Makarfi faction had earlier presented Mr Jegede but the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) later substituted his name with that of Mr Jimoh Ibrahim who was from the Sheriff’s faction following the judgment of Justice Okon Abang of a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.
However, Jegede who appealed against the judgment, got justice at both the Appeal and Supreme Courts in less than 48 hours to the election.
According to Mr. Biyi’s statement, Governor Mimiko and others who are to appear before the committee breached Section 7 (3) (c) of the party’s constitution which provides that the party shall adhere “to the policy of the rotation and zoning of party and public elective offices in pursuance to the principle of equity, justice and fairness.”
The statement added that “the committee shall look into the acts and commissions of government which impacted the people including public servants negatively, culminating into people’s anger and rejection which affected the electoral fortunes of the party.”
“The committee shall also investigate the conduct of certain individuals in the disbursement of the resources of the party in the mobilization of members for the election,” the statement added.
Others summoned to appear before the committee are Jumoke Akindele, Speaker, of the House of Assembly, Mr. Clement Faboyede, Alhaji Fatai Adams, Mr. Banji Okunomo, Mr. John Ola Mafo, Mr. Wole Ogunyemi, Mr. Bamiduro Dada, Mr. Akin Akinbobola and all commissioners in Mimiko’s cabinet.
The statement said all the concerned persons are to appear before the committee as from today (Thursday).
The Makarfi faction had on Tuesday suspended leaders of the Sheriff’s faction including Poroye and Senator Meroyi.
Publicity Secretary of the faction, Mr. Banji, said the party took the decision after an emergency meeting of its State Working Committee (SWC).
He said the action of the SWC was in line with section 57 of the constitution of the PDP, adding that the party leadership acted based on the powers conferred on the SWC.
Others suspended from the party are Ebenezer Alabi who was the running mate to Mr Jimoh Ibrahim, Dr. Bakkita Bello, the former Speaker of the House of Assembly, Dare Emiola, former Deputy Speaker, Chief Sola Ebiseni, former Commissioner for the Environment, Dr. Olu Ogunye, Chief Mrs. Yemi Ajonibode and 14 others.
Okunomo said, “by the virtue of the Court of Appeal judgment, Biyi Poroye does not only seize to be an executive of the party as he claimed, but he is no longer a leader of the PDP.”
He disclosed that the suspended members were expected to appear before the disciplinary committee of the party next Monday, December 5.
